Groups Petition Tinubu to Investigate Interior Minister Tunji Ojo Over Certificate Scandal

A coalition of civil society organisations has petitioned President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, urging him to launch an investigation into allegations surrounding the academic credentials of the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji Ojo.

According to Reports, the petitioners accused the minister of presenting questionable academic documents and called for immediate scrutiny by relevant authorities. They argued that such allegations, if left unchecked, could undermine the credibility of the administration’s anti-corruption stance.

The groups also demanded that the Presidency and the Code of Conduct Bureau ensure transparency by making the outcome of the investigation public. They maintained that government officials must be held to the highest standards of accountability to restore public trust and protect the integrity of national institutions.
