Gunmen Abduct Plateau Lawmaker

A member of the Plateau State House of Assembly, Hon. Philip Dasun, representing Pankshin South Constituency, has been abducted by gunmen.
According to reports, the lawmaker was taken late Monday night when armed men stormed his residence. Witnesses said the attackers arrived in large numbers, shooting sporadically before whisking him away to an undisclosed location.
The abduction has thrown the state into shock, as Hon. Dasun is a prominent figure known for his grassroots engagement. Security agencies in Plateau confirmed the incident and assured that efforts are underway to rescue him unhurt.
Meanwhile, residents have expressed growing fears over rising cases of insecurity in the state, urging authorities to act decisively to protect lives and restore public confidence.
This latest incident adds to the spate of kidnappings and violent attacks that have continued to trouble communities across Plateau and other parts of northern Nigeria.
