Gunmen Abduct Sterling Bank Manager In Bayelsa

Gunmen, suspected to be kidnappers have abducted the Operations Manager of Sterling Bank, Mrs Nneka Enuka in Bayelsa state.
According to information, Nneka was kidnapped on Friday, June 16, 2023, by suspected kidnappers who dressed in Military uniform around PDP junction, Sanni Abacha Expressway, Yenagoa.
The victim was said to be leaving adjacent a house of an arrested kidnap kingpin, John Ewa, popularly known as John Lyon and Emmanuel Agase.
It was reported that she had been warned to relocate from the environment pending the time government will approve the seizure of the building owned by the arrested Kidnappers.
It was alleged that the kidnapping of the bank worker may be connected to the remaining gang members of John Lyon, who were on the run during the time he(Ewa) was apprehended.
The incident was affirmed by the state Commissioner of Police, CP Romokere Ibani.
The Commissioner stated that the bank manager was kidnapped by four gunmen dressed in Military uniforms while driving to her office.
However, he maintained that investigations were ongoing to track the suspects and free the victim.
