Gunmen Assassinate APC Chieftain In Benue

Gunmen have assassinated Hon. Ejeh Udeh, a chieftain of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Otukpo Local Government Area of Benue State.

The incident, Congress News Nigeria learnt, occurred at his residence in Ugboju in the early hours of Monday, September 22.

It was gathered that the assailants, who rode on motorcycles, laid in wait for him and opened fire as soon as he entered his compound.

“They surrounded him and shot him at close range. His body has since been deposited at the morgue in Otukpo,” a source confirmed.

Udeh, who is said to be a brother of a former local government chairman, was a well-known political figure in the Idoma nation.
