In a shocking escalation of violence in Kebbi State, armed assailants stormed a girls’ secondary school, abducting an unknown number of students and killing at least one staff member, authorities confirmed. The attack, which took place early this morning, has sparked fear and outrage among parents and local residents. Security forces have been deployed to the area in a bid to rescue the victims and apprehend the perpetrators.

Eyewitnesses reported that the gunmen arrived in multiple vehicles and opened fire before rounding up the students. Residents described chaotic scenes as students were dragged from classrooms while teachers tried to intervene. Local vigilante groups have joined police efforts to track down the attackers, but the exact number of abducted girls remains unclear.

This incident adds to a growing pattern of attacks on educational institutions in northern Nigeria, highlighting ongoing security challenges in the region. Federal authorities have vowed to intensify operations against kidnappers and ensure the safety of students across vulnerable communities.
