DISQUALIFIED Big Brother Naija housemate, Faith, has revealed the financial and emotional challenges he faced to participate in the reality television show, disclosing that he took a N5 million loan just to secure a place in the house.
Reflecting on his journey, Faith recounted how a single click changed his life. “On December 24, I came back to Nigeria feeling frustrated. I kept asking myself what I was going to do as a doctor in this country. But somehow, that one click led me to audition for Africa’s biggest reality TV show,” he said.
Determined to make his dream a reality, Faith said he went to extreme lengths. “I did the unthinkable. I took a loan of N5 million just to get in, and somehow, I made it,” he disclosed.
The 25-year-old, who hails from Osun State, spoke candidly about his struggles inside the house, including emotional breakdowns and moments of regret. “I screamed, I argued, I failed tasks, I said things I shouldn’t have said, I lost friends, I was overwhelmed and isolated,” he admitted.
Faith also revealed that he sought psychological support several times during the competition. “I requested therapy more than three times while in the house. I knew I needed help, and I was brave enough to ask for it. I’m a work in progress,” he said.
Despite the hurdles, Faith described the experience as life-changing, teaching him teamwork, communication, and resilience. “In the middle of all the chaos, something amazing happened — I found friendship, hope, and family. Outside those walls, people I had never met were standing for me, shouting my name, spending their hard-earned money to keep me there. It was nothing short of a miracle,” he added.
