Ikorodu NUT Commends Teachers on Workers’ Day

The Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT), Ikorodu Lagos state branch, has expressed its gratitude to the community teachers for raising the standard of learning in the Ikorodu Division.

In celebration of May 1st, which is Workers’ Day, the NUT Chairman Ikorodu, Fakolade Oluwafemi Oluwaseun JP stated in a statement that the teachers’ devotion and hard labour have helped to build a progressive IKORODU.

He appreciated the teachers for contributing meaningful development to Ikorodu.

“On behalf of the Branch Executive Council of NUT Ikorodu, I celebrate the entire Teachers of Ikorodu Division, on the occasion of the 2023 Workers’ Day,” he said.

“I wish to appreciate and pay my respect to our great teachers for their efforts in raising the standard of education in Ikorodu Division.

“Teachers’ devotion and hard labour have helped us to build a progressive IKORODU. Every growth witnessed in the past and present is incomplete without the help of the TEACHERS.

“Working tirelessly every day is an achievement in itself, so every teacher deserves to be celebrated on this special day!

“From Primary, Secondary to Technical College in Ikorodu division, our teachers have shown special dedication to work and above all, the agenda of the govt of the day in respect of education.”

He assured the teachers that their rights will continue to be protected.

“In line with the theme of this year’s event, the Nigeria Union of Teachers, Ikorodu branch, under my leadership, will continue to protect the rights and ensure social & economic justice for all our teachers in the Ikorodu division. I admonish you all to rest well on this special day and prepare for the rewarding days ahead.

“HAPPY CELEBRATION,” he added.
