Jubilation as Alfred Ukane Honored for Transformative Impact at Warri Business Mentoring Class

Following a groundbreaking training session that left entrepreneurs inspired and equipped for the future, renowned agricultural economist and agribusiness expert, Alfred Ukane, delivered a powerful lecture on innovative marketing strategies at the Warri Business Mentoring Class – September Edition.

 

The session, which gathered young entrepreneurs (both male and female), business leaders, and startups from across Delta State, focused on reshaping the mindset of business owners toward sustainable growth.

 

Alfred Ukane urged participants to expand their marketing horizons beyond customers. According to Him –

“Marketing to customers alone cannot grow and sustain a business,”

“To truly succeed, entrepreneurs must also market their businesses to Talents, Partners, and Investors—so they can patronize, work with, collaborate, and invest in your business.”

 

Alfred Ukane’s message resonated deeply with participants who are striving to thrive in Nigeria’s competitive business environment. His four-pronged approach to marketing—Customers, Talents, Partners, and Investors—was hailed as a practical roadmap for building resilient enterprises that can withstand economic turbulence.

 

The training was more than just theory. Through case studies, real-life business scenarios, and interactive sessions, entrepreneurs were able to see firsthand how this innovative marketing strategies can attract not only buyers but also top talents, strategic collaborators, and long-term financiers.

 

Recognition for Outstanding Contribution

 

At the close of the mentoring class, Alfred Ukane was presented with a Special Recognition Award for his invaluable contribution to the growth and sustainability of businesses in Warri, Delta State, Nigeria and Africa at large.

 

This award highlights his dedication to entrepreneurship development, agribusiness innovation, and capacity building for young business leaders. Participants applauded his passion, with many describing his training as “life-changing” and “a wake-up call for entrepreneurs who want to scale.”

 

Business experts at the event noted that Alfred Ukane’s approach aligns with global best practices in business mentoring and could help reposition Nigerian enterprises to compete on the African and international stage.

 

Driving Business Growth in Nigeria

 

Over the years, Alfred Ukane has become a thought leader in agribusiness and entrepreneurship training. His influence extends beyond Delta State, as he continues to advocate for business education that integrates marketing innovation, financial literacy, and sustainable growth strategies.

 

He has trained over 10,000 entrepreneurs both in the agricultural value chain and other sectors and has facilitated over 300 million naira in bank funded loans to Agripreneurs and has also supported both government and development organizations to facilitate grant funding for SMEs worth over 500 million naira.

 

Having consulted for two USAID projects, smashing his deliverables and for UNDP project, PIND Foundation and related Organizations, He has leveraged on his academic and field experience to support SMEs.
