Following a leadership election held in Benin City, Edo State by the Third Phase Delegates of the presidential Amnesty programme on 10th September 2025, General Godstime Ogidigba has emerged as the national chairman of the 3rd phase presidential Amnesty programme delegates.

The election, which took place at the venue on Ekenwan Road, saw delegates from various states converge to usher in a new set of executive members who will lead the body for the next two years.

The Electoral Committee, chaired by Barrister Isu Joshua, worked diligently to ensure a smooth and transparent process. Security agents were present to maintain vigilance, and stakeholders are eagerly awaiting the outcome, which will shape the third phase delegates direction for the next two years.

It was gathered that about six candidates from Bayelsa, Delta, Rivers, Edo and other states in the Niger Delta region contested the election.

However, the recent election appears to have been conducted peacefully, following the precedent set by the Electoral committee.
