Kaduna State set to commence the $200 million Mega Poultry Project

The Kaduna state Governor, Senator Uba Sani has welcomed the Minister of Livestock Development, Alhaji Idi Mukhtar Maiha to kick up preparation following the approval of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the commencement of the $200 million Mega Poultry Project in Kaduna State.

Senator Uba Sani welcomed the Minister of livestock Development at his office, in Sir, Kashim Ibrahim House, Kaduna.

“I received the Honourable Minister of Livestock Development, Alhaji Idi Mukhtar Maiha, for a high-level strategic engagement ahead of the project’s groundbreaking ceremony. Uba Sani said.

Governor Uba Sani posted on his social media handle that, their deliberations centred on aligning federal and state priorities to ensure the seamless delivery of this landmark investment, a defining milestone in Nigeria’s evolving livestock and agribusiness agenda.

“I convey my profound appreciation to His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for the confidence reposed in Kaduna State by selecting it to lead this transformative undertaking. Uba said.

According to him, the project will rank among the most ambitious poultry enterprises in Africa, with the capacity to generate over USD $450 million in annual revenue and create more than 350,000 direct and indirect jobs across the poultry value chain. It will significantly strengthen food security, empower small holder farmers, accelerate agro-industrialization, expand export opportunities, and firmly position Kaduna State as a leading hub of modern agribusiness on the African continent.
