Kano Pilgrims Board’s Health Initiative for Hajj Pilgrims

The Director General of the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Lamin Rabi’u Danbappa, has officially flagged off the immunization and scanning exercise for both male and female pilgrims in the state.
In a statement signed by Sulaiman A. Dederi Public Relations Officer of the Board, Alhaji Lamin Rabi’u emphasized that the exercise is a vital part of Hajj preparations, aimed at assessing the health status of all intending pilgrims.
He urged all pilgrims to strictly adhere to the schedule provided, which has been organized according to their respective Local Government Areas. He also directed all coordinators to ensure that no pilgrim is left out of the process.
In his remarks, the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Alhaji Yusif Lawan, stated that their visit to the Hajj Camp Clinic to receive the immunization alongside Board Members and Management was intended to demonstrate that the procedure is safe and without complications.
Dan Bappa commended the efforts of the medical personnel, appreciating their dedication and professionalism.
Speaking at the event, the Board’s Health Care Coordinator, Hajiya Hindatu Mukhtar, assured that all necessary measures are in place to ensure that every pilgrim receives appropriate medical attention.
She also expressed her gratitude to the Director General for the renovation of the Hajj Camp Clinic and for providing adequate medical facilities for the benefit of the pilgrims.
The Director General and his team visited several key locations, including the Port Health Services for the issuance of Yellow Cards to pilgrims, and the Hajj Camp Clinic to oversee the immunization and scanning activities. They also paid a condolence visit to the Nasarawa Center Officers over the passing of one of their fathers.
