Kanu’s Family Slams Court Verdict, Says Ruling Violates Fair Hearing
By: Diafa Doubra, Warri.
The family of detained IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu, has rejected the latest ruling delivered by Justice Mobolaji Omotosho, describing it as an “ambush” that breached his right to a fair hearing. They claimed the judgment failed to address key issues surrounding his arrest and treatment.
According to the family, the court’s decision reflects a worrying pattern of judicial inconsistency in Kanu’s long-running case. They argued that the ruling ignored critical facts, including his extraordinary rendition, which they believe should have influenced the outcome.
They called on the Nigerian government, human rights groups, and the international community to intervene. The family insisted that only a transparent and lawful process can guarantee justice for Kanu after years of detention and legal disputes.
