A kidnapped victim, one Mr. Emeka Omale Amos has petitioned the DPO of Orokpe station to the Delta State commissioner of police, CP Mohammed Ali to immediately arrest a suspected kidnapped kingpin, Mr. Emmanuel and others for orchestrating his kidnap on 1st Sept , 2021.

The petitioner, in his statement urged the Divisional Police Officer, Orokpe Local Government Area to kindly transfer the reported case of hostage taking and armed robbery in his division to the commissioner of police, Delta State to properly investigate and prosecute the suspects as he has lost confidence in him.

The incident occurred in Jeddo Community when the victim was deceived and allegedly kidnapped by a gang of four in the community.

In the petition by his lawyer, Omes Ogedegbe explained that Mr. Emeka was kidnapped and made to pay eighty thousand naira (#80,000.00) before he was freed after being held in a suspected school building in the community for several hours.

The counsel narrated that the petitioner is an aluminum installer and got a call from a certain individual who introduced himself as Mr. Marvelous on the 1st of September, 2021 to come to Jeddo community to do a roofing job.

Ogedegbe stated that the said Mr. Marvelous requested the service of the petitioner to come over to Jeddo for the measuring and mobilization to commence the roofing job for his project in Jeddo community, Okpe local government area of Delta State.

The petitoner maintained that upon his arrival at the agreed location in Jeddo, he was dragged into a waiting LEXUS 330 Saloon car by a group of heavily armed criminal gang of four boys who sandwiched him in between and took him to a developing layout in Jeddo Community where they took him to an abandoned building, which he later discovered was formally housing the Edel Montessori Group of Schools, Jeddo, in Okpe Local Government Area where he was held hostage and subjected to the highest degree of human degradation and hostility.

The lawyer emphasized that while the degradation lasted, the victim discovered he recognized one Mr. Emmanuel, the proprietor of Edmathias International School, Jeddo, Okpe Local Government Area of Delta State.

The victim’s lawyer further said: “That the petitioner ran to him and he did not hesitate to shove off the petitioner with a serious kick claiming the petitioner even deserved to die for doing a shabby job for him in his personal house.

“Suffice to state, the only encounter the petitioner remembered having with the said Emmanuel was in the year 2013 when he did the roofing of his house and had not done any other job for him thereafter.

“The group of heavily armed criminal gang thereafter threatened to kill him unless he paid a ransom to free himself hence, he was compelled to start contacting family members to raise money for his release.

“He pleaded with them that he should be allowed to collect money from his house as his bank token was at home. He was again sandwiched in a Nisan Murano driven by Mr. Emmanuel to his house to collect his bank token.

“That to save his life, the criminal gang led by the said Mr. Emmanuel took a total sum of eighty thousand naira cash from the Petitioner and transferred the sum of forty thousand naira only from his FCMB account to the Ecobank account of the gang member with account name Marvelous and was robbed of his two TECNO phones, one Nokia phone and UBA bank ATM with account number 1017741896.

“This clear case of hostage taking was reported at the police post, Ughotor, Okpe Local Government Area of Delta State where the police almost immediately granted him bail and have not taken any step to arrest the gang members. We demand justice for Mr. Emeka Omale Amos” the lawyer stressed.

This is a dispute between a worker and his client being blown out of proportion by an indolent lawyer.
They should be encouraged to settle instead of this sensational nonsense.
