Kim Kardashian’s 12-Year-Old Daughter Sparks Concern Among Fans With New Looks

Kim Kardashian’s 12-year-old daughter, North West, has once again found herself at the centre of online debate after unveiling a mature new look in a series of TikTok videos.
In the clips, shared on the joint TikTok account she runs with her mother, North appeared wearing blue braids, bright blue contact lenses, black grillz, and fake face tattoos, including a star beneath her eye and a scripted word on her cheek. She captioned one video: “F+ke p%ercings and f+ke tatts for life.”
The young fashion enthusiast completed her look with oversized streetwear, chunky trainers, layers of silver jewellery, and a faux nose ring, posing and lip-syncing alongside friends aboard a private jet and backstage at a concert.
While comments were disabled on the original TikTok posts, reposted clips on Instagram quickly attracted mixed reactions. Many social media users described the look as “too grown” for a pre-teen, with one commenter writing, “She’s 12 years old… this isn’t cute.” Another said, “She can have her own style, but this is just too mature.”
Some also questioned Kim Kardashian’s parenting choices, with a popular remark reading, “What in the Kanye West is happening?”
The controversy follows Kim’s recent appearance on the Call Her Daddy podcast, where the 44-year-old reality star admitted she is “still learning” as a mother and sometimes second-guesses how much freedom she gives North to express herself. She referenced previous criticism, such as allowing North to wear a corset in Rome, as part of her parenting journey.
Despite the backlash, Kim defended her daughter’s right to explore her creativity, saying:
“If she wants blue hair, it makes her happy. I’d never take that creativity away from her.”
Known for her bold fashion sense and confidence beyond her years, North West has increasingly made headlines for her unique style. This latest appearance, however, has reignited debate over the blurred line between self-expression and age-appropriate fashion in the world of celebrity children.
