The Kporho Family of Otughievwen, Otu-Jeremi, has issued a public statement disowning a fraudulent petition circulating online, alleging election meddling by the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Otu-Jeremi.

The disclaimer was made through the family’s lawyer E. F. Avbenagha, Esq which a copy was sent to the Congress News correspondent in Warri on Wednesday.

The family claims the petition is a malicious fabrication, stating they never authorized or consented to its submission to the Delta State Police Command. They disassociated themselves from the false allegations, citing a peaceful relationship with the police division and no grievance with the DPO.

The Kporho Family demands:

•Immediate cessation of the petition’s circulation
•Full retraction and apology from the perpetrators
•Investigation into the authorship of the document for potential crimes

The family reaffirmed its respect for the Nigeria Police Force and urged the public to disregard the petition. They reserved the right to seek legal redress for damage to their reputation.
