Lagos Flags-Off Agric Value Chains Support Programme In Ikorodu

It is a new dawn as Lagos State Commissioner for Agriculture, Ms Abisola Olusanya, flagged off the Agricultural Value Chains Support Programme farmers across the 20 Local Government and 37 Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs) in the state.
The event which happened at Ikorodu Local Government Secretariat has His Royal Majesty, Alaiyeluwa (Oba) Engr. Kabir Adewale Shotobi, Ayangburen of Ikorodu, Special Adviser to Lagos State Governor on Agriculture, Dr Oluwarotimi Fashola, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Agriculture, Mrs Olatokunbo Emokpae, Chairman, Ikorodu Local Government Council, Mr Wasiu Adesina, and among other dignitaries in attendance.
Some of the farming materials distributed at the flag-off ceremony of the distribution of Agriculture inputs and Production assets to fishing and farming clusters/ communities are Wheelbarrow, kerosene stoves, pesticides, herbicides, fertilizer and knapsack sprayers among others
The programme started in 2014 with over 20,000 farmers who had benefited from its implementation with the agricultural productivity in the state.
However, the beneficiaries of the schemes were urged to cooperate in the utilisation of the input so that maximum impact is delivered for the benefit of Lagosians.
