Many Injured As Ogbomoso Auto Crash Claims Six Lives

Following a collision between a bus and a trailer at Sekona on the Ogbomoso road in Ogo Oluwa Local Government Area of Oyo State, not less than six persons have been confirmed dead while others sustained various injuries.

It was reported that all the victims were male adults and their bodies has been moved to Ladoke Akintola Teaching Hospital Mortuary.

The injured victims were also rushed to Bowen University Teaching Hospital, Ogbomoso for medical care.

It was reported that the trailer that collided with the 21 passengers’ commercial bus was going North.

The road crash occurred as a result of the bus driver trying to overtake the trailer at a sharp corner and suddenly lost control, and as a result, somersaulted many times.

The incident was affirmed by the Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Ogbomoso unit, Isaac Adebayo.

He maintained that the incident happened on Sunday evening and five people died immediately.
