Military lays manhunt for hired machinery rampaging in Ojobo community
The military operatives who were deployed to the Ojobo community in Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State following the killing and burning of houses in the community have reportedly laid man hunt unit for the rampaging hired machinery in the community.
It would be recalled that on Wednesday at about t 3:23 pm, the Ojobo community Amayanabo (Highness) election turned bloody, leading to the death of suspected persons, injuring many and burning of houses.
It was reported that a sponsor of one of the supporters (name withheld) ordered some hired machinery to open fire on innocent youths over a minor disagreement about who should be a delegate in a particular quarter of the community.
A source who hinted at Congress news said the state governor, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa who frowned on the incident had ordered security operatives to be deployed to the community to stop and arrest the rampaging hired machinery.
Speaking further, he said the military personnel are already in the community, laying a manhunt for the suspected killers of youths in the community.
According to him, the suspects had fled the community but the security personnel are seriously making efforts to nab the erring suspects.
However, efforts to reach the Delta State Police Command, PPRO Bright Edafe for comment proved abortive.
