Minister of youth meets unemployed youths for crucial meeting

The Society for the Welfare of Unemployed Youths of Nigeria (SWUYN) led by its National President, Comr. Preye V. Tambou recently met with the Federal Minister of Youth Development, Senior Comr. Ayodele Olawande on Monday 10th March, 2025 to discuss strategic partnerships and collaborations. The meeting aimed to advance the interests of unemployed youths in Nigeria, focusing on education, entrepreneurship, and unity.
Congress gathered that the SWUYN’s mission was to empower unemployed youths and promote societal welfare through various initiatives. The organisation’s key objectives included eradicating extreme poverty, empowering youths, fostering unity, and collaborating with government agencies and organizations.
During the meeting, SWUYN presented a comprehensive partnership proposal outlining national initiatives and projects for empowering young people across the six regions. Minister Olawande expressed commitment to supporting SWUYN’s initiatives, youth-led advocacy, acknowledging unemployment among young people as a critical issue.
The group added, “We are encouraged by the Minister’s positive response and assurance of support and inclusivity. This potential partnership will enable us to access national schemes and empowerment opportunities, providing our members with the resources and support they need to thrive”
