Ukraine reclaims Lyman as 5000 Putin men surrender

No fewer than five Thousand Russian forces have been rounded up in Lyman in Russia’s annexed Donetsk region following the continuous counteroffensive by the Ukrainian military.

Recall, Lyman is one of the key cities in Ukraine which was recently seized by the Russian forces. The city is located in the country’s eastern region.

The city was cleared of the Russian forces on Saturday and was recaptured by Ukrainian troops.

According to AFP, the town was used as a logistics and munitions center by the Russian forces till it was recaptured.

The report said the seized 5000 soldiers would serve as war prisoners in Ukraine.
