Mulade Leads Warri Peace Stakeholders’ Dialogue to Promote Unity in Delta
By Joseph Bienbo, Warri
The Centre for Peace and Environmental Justice (CEPEJ) has hosted a stakeholder peace dialogue to address recurring tensions among Ijaw, Itsekiri, and Urhobo ethnic nationalities in Delta State. The event, held at King George Hall, Warri, aimed to rebuild trust, promote unity, and prevent conflict through sustained engagement.
The event was attended by prominent leaders, security agencies, civil society organizations, and representatives from various ethnic nationalities. Comrade Mulade, CEPEJ National Coordinator, emphasised the importance of consolidating existing harmony in Warri and its environs.
However, a 20-member Peace Committee was inaugurated to deepen stakeholder engagement, sustain dialogue, and reinforce peaceful practices across communities in Warri. The committee will operate for one year, with a mandate to promote lasting peace in Warri.
