President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has emphasized that Nigeria’s overall prosperity is inseparable from the progress and stability of the northern region, describing the North as the “engine room” of the nation’s growth and unity.

Speaking at the Nigeria Investment and Industrialization Summit in Abuja, President Tinubu highlighted the North’s vast potential in agriculture, solid minerals, and renewable energy as key drivers for national development. He noted that unlocking these resources would not only boost industrialization but also create jobs and reduce poverty across the country.

“The North holds some of Nigeria’s richest natural and human resources. If we get it right there, the rest of the country will feel the impact,” Tinubu stated. He called for stronger collaboration between federal and state governments to ensure sustainable growth and security in the region.

The President also urged private investors, both local and international, to take advantage of the emerging opportunities in the North, assuring that his administration is committed to providing an enabling environment through infrastructural development and favorable policies.

Tinubu’s remarks have drawn positive reactions from northern leaders and economic experts, who believe that focusing on regional development could fast-track Nigeria’s journey toward national prosperity.
