‎Nigerian President Bola Tinubu on Friday announced a reshuffle of the country’s military leadership, appointing new service chiefs as part of efforts to strengthen national security.

‎General Olufemi Oluyede has been named the new Chief of Defence Staff, replacing General Christopher Musa, the presidency said in a statement.

‎Major-General W. Shaibu becomes Chief of Army Staff, Air Vice Marshal S.K. Aneke takes over as Chief of Air Staff, and Rear Admiral I. Abbas is the new Chief of Naval Staff.

‎Chief of Defence Intelligence Major-General E.A.P. Undiendeye retains his position, according to the statement signed by presidential adviser Sunday Dare.
