Nine Abducted Children Rescued By Police in Zamfara

Nine children abducted by gunmen in the Goran Namaya community in Maradun Local Government of Zamafara State have been rescued by the men of Nigeria police, Zamfara state police command.
This is according to a release by the state police Public Relation Officer, ASP Yazid Abubakar.
Yazid asserted that the command on June 3, 2023, received a distressed call from the head of Gora Namaye village, that some children sent to a farm to fetch firewood by their parents had been kidnapped by gunmen.
Following the information, the police force mobilized security operatives to the scene and commenced a search and rescue operation.
However, the nine abducted children were rescued from the den of the Kidnappers.
The state police spokesman maintained that the command had reunited the parents and the children together.
He stated that efforts are still on in apprehending the gunmen for prosecution.
