The Chairman of the Third Phase Delegates of the Presidential Amnesty Programme, Gen. Godstime Ogidigba, has called on Nigerians to come together to fight against insecurity in the country rather than being divisive.

In a statement, Gen. Ogidigba emphasised the need for national unity and cooperation to overcome the current security challenges facing the nation. He urged Nigerians to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration and back Chief Dennis Otuaro’s vision for the Amnesty Programme.

The chairman also appealed to residents and stakeholders in the Niger Delta to refrain from protests and instead engage in peaceful dialogue with the Amnesty Office. He emphasised that responsible engagement is key to sustaining stability and development in the region.

Gen. Ogidigba called on Amnesty beneficiaries to support Chief Otuaro, saying unity among beneficiaries is crucial to achieving long-term peace and growth in the Niger Delta. He also urged security agencies to intensify surveillance and protection of critical national assets.

The chairman concluded that sustainable peace, regional development, and national cohesion can only be achieved through dialogue, cooperation, and shared purpose, urging Nigerians to stand together for a safer and more prosperous nation.
