Following the alleged anti-party activities by Cairo Ojougbo, the All Progressives Congress, APC, Delta state chapter has insisted that Cairo is not one of their party members.

The party made the declaration due to an alleged violation of the party’s consultations in the just concluded state governorship election.

According to a viral video making the round, it was maintained as evidence that Cairo was mocking the All Progressives Congress, APC after losing the state election.

He was seen mocking and celebrating the party’s inability to win the governorship election in Delta state, a behaviour that violates the party’s values.

In a statement by Delta State APC Publicity Secretary, Mr Valentina Onojeghuo, asserted that Ojougbo’s behaviour was in contradiction with the party’s constitution and punishable under the law.

It was reported that Ojougbo didn’t file legal action against his party, but also created an illegal parallel executive committee which expelled key party members like Senator Ovie Omo Agege.

However, the state APC maintained that Ojougbo’s behaviour was responsible for the party’s failure in the governorship election.
