Omo-Agege Vows to Reclaim Delta Gov. Election Mandate

By Sola Omoniyi, Lagos
The deputy president of the senate and Delta state gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress APC, in the 2023 election, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege has insisted he won the governorship election.
Omo-Agege Vows to reclaim his alleged stolen mandate from Sheriff Oborevwori, the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
Recall, Oborevwori was declared the winner by the electoral body, Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, with 360,234 votes, while Omo-Agege climbs to the second position with 240,229 votes.
However, Omo-Agege asserted that the result declared by the INEC is what he described as a ruse that can not stand the test of litigation.
He insisted that he won the Delta Governorship Election conducted in March, clean and clear.
Omo-Agege accused the opposition party that all the manipulations carried out by them in conjunction with some INEC workers have been exposed, and will be used as evidence in the court of law.
He said that he’s ready to fight for his mandate because his valid scored votes in the election are more than enough to declare him as governor of the state.
