Ondo auto crash kills 5, injures 7 persons

About five persons have been declared dead, and seven others were injured in a lone accident around the Akinfosile area along Ore/Lagos Expressway, on Saturday.

According to a statement by the spokesperson for the Ondo State Police Command, Funmi Odunlami, in Akure, said that the crash occurred at about 4:30pm.

The spokesman narrated that the commercial Toyota Hiace Bus with Reg No FKG 405 FX from Akure en route to Lagos, somersaulted and entered into the bush.

The statement reads,” The Police have moved injured victims to the nearest hospital while the dead have been moved to the mortuary of the same hospital.

” Investigation is ongoing to unravel the cause of the accident while effort is on to contact the families of the passengers involved in the accident.
