Oseloka Obi, son of Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has publicly denied viral allegations suggesting that he is gay. The rumors, which circulated widely on social media after photos of him posing with a male friend surfaced, sparked heated conversations online.

In a statement shared on his social media page, Oseloka condemned the claims as malicious fabrications, stressing that the photos in question were innocent moments taken with a long-time friend. He described the attempt to twist them into a scandal as a smear campaign targeted not only at him but also at his family.

Oseloka emphasized that he stands by his values and will not be distracted by falsehoods. He urged the public to avoid spreading baseless rumors that only serve to damage reputations and shift focus from meaningful conversations about Nigeria’s future.

So far, Peter Obi himself has not issued an official comment, but supporters of the family have rallied online, dismissing the allegations as politically motivated attempts to dent the former governor’s image.
