Osimhen is Now The Highest Goal Scorer in Seria A

Following the Napoli versus Fiorentina game at Diego stadium, where Osimhen netted a goal in favour of his club, it has now been recorded that the international Footballer is the highest goal scorer in Seria A.

Recall that Osimhen made history for Napoli to win Seria A title after 33 years.

The football superstar scored a penalty to make his score 47 goals at the Diego Armando Maradona stadium on Sunday Night, May 7.

With the current record, Osimhen has now been ahead of his colleague, George Weah in the record for the African highest goal scorer in Seria A.

According to an interview by BT Sport, the Nigerian-born footballer posited that it was a great breakthrough for him to supersede George Weah’s record.

“It’s amazing. Big respect for George Weah. He has put Africa on the map when he was playing here with AC Milan. For me to surpass him is a big honour and a big respect to him,” he stated

“His son, Timothy Weah is my very good friend. And I want to say he has inspired a lot of African players and I’m happy to surpass his record. He will forever be a legend for me. And I’m really happy about this feat,” he added.
