Otuaro, Funkekeme, Pondi, Yingi, Angele, Others Console Family, Alaowei Cleric over mother’s death

Following the demise of Mama Rachel Alaowei, the Immediate past Deputy Governor of Delta State, His Excellency, Deacon Kingsley Burutu Otuaro, Rt. Hon.(Chief) Funkekeme Solomon, two times former DG, PDP Campaign Organization, Delta State and former Deputy Speaker, Delta State House of Assembly; Rt Hon. Julius Gbabozor Pondi, Member Representing Burutu Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives; Rt. Hon. Godknows Angele, Chairman Burutu Local Government Council; Hon. (Chief) Daniel Yingi, former Special Adviser to the immediate past Governor of Delta State on Environment and Transportation and former two times member, of Delta State House of Assembly and others have paid a condolence visit to the family’s home to commiserate with late mama Rachel Alaowei’s children and other family members.
Others who were at the family’s residence during the ceremony marking the end of the outdoor condolence visit on Monday were; Deacon Progress Dimaro, former Executive Assistant to the Deputy Governor of Delta State and pioneer Chairman of PDP Burutu Local Government Area Chapter, Hon. Ebike Oromoni, Chairman, PDP Burutu Local Government Area Chapter; Hon. Lawson Ogei, Deputy Chairman, PDP Burutu Local Government Area Chapter.
However, the children of the late Mama Rachel, Alaowei had thanked and appreciated the eminent personalities, friends, well-wishers and the general public that spared their tight schedules to come and console them over the death of their beloved mother.
Alaowei E. Cleric, Esquire, mama Rachel’s son who is a legal practitioner, in a statement on behalf of his siblings on Wednesday said the family was overwhelmed with the support and encouragement received from leaders and stakeholders who visited their homes to commiserate with them.
The statement reads, “We feel so honoured by the cream of personalities and leaders that came for the condolence visit. We’re eternally grateful for this show of love.”
The family equally thanked Mr Paul Kurugbe, Member Delta State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) together with his dear wife, Mrs Nelly Kurugbe; Mrs Georgina Eva, former Women Leader, PDP Delta State and former Executive Assistant to the immediate past Governor of Delta State; Mrs Eunice Angozi; Member, Post Primary Education Board; Hon. Sunny Perekeme, Secretary Burutu Local Government Council; Mr Richard Tuedon, former Organizing Secretary, PDP Delta State; Mr Godwin Edumogiren, former Chairman PDP Burutu Local Government Area Chapter and former SSA to the immediate past Governor of Delta State, His Excellency, Sen. (Dr.) Ifeanyi Okowa; Mr Ebisinne Kofee Amasumo, former SSA to the immediate past Governor of Delta State; Comrade Austin Ozobo, former SA to the immediate past Governor of Delta State, Chief Robert Afruku; Chief (Princess) Beauty Perekeme; Hon. Amakama Peremobowei, Youth Leader, PDP Burutu Local Government Area Chapter, Madam Helen Layogbe, Women Leader, PDP Burutu Local Government Area Chapter, Chief Francis Amaowei, Assistant Secretary, PDP Burutu Local Government Area Chapter; Barr. (Mrs.) Ebikefe Youkere-Bello, Treasurer, PDP Burutu Local Government Area Chapter, Captain Ziko; Mr Keneye Jimor, former SSA to the immediate past Governor of Delta State; Pastor Arex Akemeotubo, former SSA to the immediate past Governor of Delta State.
Others appreciated are members of Lagabadoze Prayer Parliament led by the Deputy Speaker, Hon. Emeka Osuji who was also a former SSA to the immediate past Governor of Delta State; Mr Bright Guwor; Mr Enewaredideke Ekanpou, former SA to the immediate past Governor of Delta State; Hon. Ayabotu Otoro, Councilor Representing Ward 7, Burutu Legislative Arm; Hon. Anthony Dauyebo; Deacon Desmond Edumogiren, CLO, Igbo-Ide/Ayakoromo bridge; Sir. Collins Emgboufegha; Engr. Collins Edumogiren, and Mr. Victor Seisingha amongst others too numerous to mention.
The statement reads, “We’ve not forgotten the Committee members that mid-wife the process of the condolence visit.
