PAP Appeals To Delegates To Exercise Patience Over Delay In July Payment

By Sola Omoniyi, Lagos
The Office of the Presidential Amnesty Programme has appealed to beneficiaries to exercise patience over delay in bulk payment in the month of July.

The report stated that the lack of funds in Nigeria government sectors was the cause of the delay in payment of stipends, appealing that delegates should exercise patience over delay in receiving their payment.
This is according to a statement signed by the SA Media, Presidential Amnesty Programme, Freston Akpor, Tuesday, 15 August, 2023.
He maintained that the situation was caused due to lack of cash backing in the GIFMIS platform in the office of the Accountant General of the Federation.
However, he urged affected delegates to exercise patience as efforts are being made to address the situation.
