The officials of the presidential Amnesty Programme have asked the outgoing Third Phase National Chairman, Mr Elaye Slabor to return the official Hilux vehicle given to him back to the office now that his tenure has expired, urging the police to confiscated it anywhere the vehicle is found.

A source said the vehicle was provided for the outgoing Exco for easy accessibility, convenience, networking between Abuja and across Niger Delta region, adding that the vehicle was not his personal property, but was meant to be returned once his tenure of government expired.
“When phase 1 and 2 tenure ended, they handed over the Hilux to their successors through the office”, the source added.

Expressing concern,
General Oloye seeks immediate withdrawal of the official Hilux in Elaye’s possession, describing it as an attempt to convert the government property to personal luxury.

The statement read, “It has come to our notice that Elaye Slabor, who completed his legitimate 2 years tenure as third phase Amnesty delegates chairman, still goes about parading himself as chairman, which is not only criminal, but very condemnable and a threat to the peace of Niger Delta region.
Once again,we call on security agencies to call this impostor to order.

“Two years ago, General Barry Ndiomu, immediate past Amnesty Programme Interim Administrator presented official Hilux to all the national phases chairmen for easy accessibility, networking between Abuja and across Niger Delta region. When phase 1 and 2 tenure ended, they handed over the Hilux to their successors through the office.

“It is on this note we are calling on impostor Elaye to return the Hilux in his possession to Amnesty Liaison office in Bayelsa state or to the nearest police station to avoid confrontation that may lead to the break down of law and order.
The vehicle is not his personal property, it is for official assignment, and now that his tenure has come to an end, the rightful person ,which is my Boss, the newly elected chairman, Gen. Godstime Ogidigba should have possession of it”, the statement read.
