Foremost Niger Delta rights activist Comrade Ozobo Austin on Thursday said the Interim Coordinator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme, General Barry Ndiomu must resign his appointment except he is willing to lift the suspension of scholarship scheme, recall suspended students and improved upon the reintegration phase of the programme.

Ozobo, who doubled as the National President of the Ijaw People’s Development Initiative, IPDI said the approval of the 775 ex-agitators with BVN challenges for payment is just one of the several demands the group made in their previous publications.

Speaking to our correspondent on the approval, he said Ndiomu came to office with the mindset to fight his people, added that until Ndiomu showed sincerity to serve his people he would quit his appointment.

He further asserted that there was nothing extraordinary about the approval of 775 ex-agitators whose stipends were withheld for months, stressing that he only solve problem he created by himself.
