By Sola Omoniyi, Lagos
Following the 2023 presidential election rift between former Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike and the presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and National Executive Committee has stated that Wike is not part of the party again.
According to a statement by Timothy Osadolor, he asserted that the former Rivers governor is no part of the party any longer due to his role during and after the 2023 general elections.
Timothy maintained that the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP has decided to separate Wike from the party due to his anti-party activities.
It was alleged that the former governor was clinching with the All Progressive Congress, APC. Mr Timothy maintained that the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, ignored Wike because he’s no longer himself.
He posited that there are so many ways to deal with people apart from sanctioning them, keeping them in isolation is part of it.
Mr Timothy disclosed that Wike stated that he’s the one who stays away from the party, but maintained that if he comes to the party nobody wants to relate with him because he was given cold treatment.
However, he stressed that if Wike wanted to say the truth, he will tell Nigerians that he was no longer a member of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
