Personalities converge for Tompolo’s International Peace Walk in Warri

Warri agog with personalities from all walks of life to celebrate High Chief Government Ekpemupolo alias Tompolo on his birthday International Peace Walk in Warri Delta state on Wednesday.

The Peace Walk which was led by GbaramatuVoice Publishing Firm kick-off from Effurun roundabout at about 8:30am on Wednesday morning and terminated at Okumagba Estate roundabout, Warri at 11am.

It was gathered that the Peace Walk caused serious gridlock in the commercial oil city, as hundreds of persons floored the popular Warri/ Sapele and airport roads to express their love and likeness for him.

Among some personalities that converged were Rt. Hon. Julius Pondi, member representing Burutu federal constituency, Comrade Alapala Ebitonmo, Members-elect, Burutu constituency 1, Hon. Pullah Ekpotuayerin, member representing Burutu constituency 2, JP Oweipele, SSA to Bayelsa State governor, Barr Oweilami Pereotubo, former IYC president, Comrade Ozobo Austin, SA to the governor of Delta state, GM of Gbaramatuvoice, Mr Jecob Abai, Mr Adidi Preboye, SA to Delta State governor, Mr Lucky Ezebiri, SSA to the governor, Mr Emma Akpule and others too numerous to mention.

However, participants who spoke at the event described Tompolo as a living legend and liberator of Niger Delta region.

They said Tompolo had overtime stood in the gap of the oppressors and the Niger Delta people to make things better for the region, adding that Tompolo is a worthy son and should be celebrated at all times.
