Police Apprehend Nine suspected kidnappers in Delta

The men of Nigeria Police, Delta State command have apprehended nine suspected kidnappers in the Okpe Local government area of the state.
The suspects during interrogation confessed to having been involved in so many kidnapping and robbery operations.
This was affirmed by the state Public Relations Officer, DSP Bright Edafe in a statement released on Wednesday 17, May 2023.
He stated that the suspects were apprehended based on technical intelligence.
DSP Bright Edafe asserted that investigations led to the arrest of one Umar Bello, age 33 years from Sokoto state but based in Warri.
He stated that he usually buys stolen phones and other robbed materials from their victims. Some of the recovered items are, a Toyota Camry locally cut to size single pistol.
It was reported that on May 15, the police operatives during a patrol in Warri sighted a tricycle with three men, and flagged down the tricycle, but the rider on sighting the police manoeuvred in an attempt to escape the police, he eventually abandoned the tricycle and run away.
However, one of the suspects, identified as Nworie Emmanuel, 20 years, was nabbed and taken to the police station.
During interrogation, Emmanuel affirmed he’s a member of a three-man gang of armed robbers who use a tricycle to rob people along Airport Road, Warri.
Emmanuel confessed that they have robbed two persons on that day he was arrested along Airport Road.
