Police Arrested Notorious Cattle Rustler, Gun Runner,

The Kaduna State Police Command have arrested notorious cattle rustler and recovered cows.
A statement by the command spokesperson Mansir Hassan said, the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Dan Magaji Division, Zaria, received a credible intelligence that a number of suspected rustled cows were sighted at Kufena Unguwan Fulani.
Acting swiftly on the credible intelligence, the DPO mobilized a team of officers and strategically laid ambush at identified locations, which led to the successful arrest of two suspects, Abdulkadir Haruna, aged 30 years, of Soba LGA and Buhari Hassan, aged 25 years, of Giwa LGA all in Kaduna state.
DSP Mansir said, during the operation, a total of twenty (20) rustled cows were recovered from the suspects.
The command spokesman further said, investigation is ongoing to identify and apprehend other members of the criminal syndicate and to ensure the suspects are prosecuted accordingly.
In a related development, DSP Mansir Hassan said, a team of operatives from the Anti-Kidnapping Unit acted on credible information received from a Good Samaritan, a driver who reported that some individuals attempted to coerce him into the delivering of a sack containing suspected items concealed in white corn to a destination in Katsina State.
“Acting swiftly on the information, the operatives intercepted and searched the sack, leading to the recovery of two hundred (200) rounds of live AK-47 ammunition concealed within. The statement read.
DSP Mansir further revealed that, investigations lead to the arrest of two suspects at Yankara in Katsina State, Muhammad Salisu 30 years and Isah Audu 40 years all from Zamfara State as the receivers of the Ammunition.
“Both suspects confessed to have been receiving the Ammunition for Bandits. DSP Mansir said.
The Commissioner of Police, CP Rabiu Muhammad, urged livestock owners and residents, especially in rural communities to remain vigilant and promptly report any suspicious movement of persons or livestock to security agencies.
He emphasized that cattle rustling remains a serious threat to livelihoods and community peace, assuring that the Command will continue to intensify intelligence-led operations to track and dismantle criminal networks involved in the act.
