Following the police brutality on an Okada man, the Lagos state commissioner of police, Idowu Owohunwa has visited the Okada rider who was assaulted by three policemen.

A viral video went viral online where three policemen were seen brutalizing the Okada man. One of the policemen was seen hitting his baton on the man as another officer was seen pushing him away.

The Okada man was seen trying to collect his bike while the police officer hit him and sustained injury as he held on to his forehead where blood was seen rushing out from.

While the two others immediately left the scene in a tricycle, the third policeman rode away the victim’s bike.

However, following the incident, the Nigeria Police had condemned the action of the policemen, in a series of tweets by Benjamin Hundeyin, the state police Public Relation officer.

He stated that CP Idowu Owohunwa visited the young man involved in the incident.

Owohunwa condemned the action of the police officers enforcing the existing ban on motorcycles in some part of Lagos State.

However, he assured the members of the public that the disciplinary measures would be taken against the police officers involved in brutalizing the Okada man.
