By Chukwunonso Eric, Warri
The Delta State Police Command has announced that the screening exercise for shortlisted applicants in the ongoing recruitment of 50,000 Police Constables into the Nigeria Police Force will commence on Monday, March 9, 2026.
The exercise, organised by the Police Service Commission in collaboration with the Nigeria Police Force, will run until Friday, April 18, 2026, and will involve physical and credential verification of candidates across the country.
In Delta State, the screening will be conducted at the Cenotaph, Asaba, where shortlisted applicants are expected to appear strictly on the date and time indicated on their individual invitation slips.
The Command advised candidates to visit the recruitment portal to confirm their application status and print the necessary documents ahead of the exercise.
Applicants are expected to present their invitation slips showing their assigned screening tables, screening forms, evidence of physical and mental fitness issued by a government-recognised medical hospital, National Identification Number (NIN) printout or NIMC card, O’Level certificate, birth certificate or declaration of age, and Local Government or State of Origin certificate duly signed by the Local Government Chairman or Secretary.
Specialist applicants are also required to present their trade test certificates, while all candidates must come with a completed guarantor’s form and both original and duplicate copies of their credentials arranged neatly in two white flat files with recent passport photographs attached.
The Police also directed that all applicants must appear for the screening dressed in white T-shirt, white shorts, white canvas shoes and white stockings as stipulated for the exercise.
The Commissioner of Police in Delta State, Aina Adesola, emphasised that the recruitment process is entirely free and will be conducted with transparency and merit.
He warned applicants to be wary of fraudsters or anyone demanding money in connection with the recruitment exercise, noting that such individuals would be arrested and prosecuted.
The Command assured all qualified applicants of a smooth, transparent and credible screening process.
