By Sola Omoniyi, Lagos
One police inspector, identified as Moses Paul, has been arrested by the police force in Kaduna for attempting to strangle his colleague, Inspector Simnawa Paul.
It was reported that the inspector wanted to strangle his colleague to death when they were both on duty at the Police Mobile Force base of 62 Squadron Kafanchan on June 16
In a statement released by the state police command dated June 26, inspector Moses Paul tried to kill his colleague using a rope.
However, the victim was rescued by two other police officers whose attention was drawn by his cries.
It was later revealed that the primary motive for the dispute that led to strangling was an attempt to cart away inspector Simnawa Paul’s rifle, while he refused the action.
However, the state command maintains that Moses Paul will face both disciplinary and legal proceedings.
