Police React After Suspected Terrorist Invades Atiku’s Adamawa Residence

The Adamawa State Police Command has confirmed the invasion of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar’s residence in Yola, the state capital.
On Monday, Reno Omokri, a former presidential aide, claimed on Twitter that a terrorist had invaded Atiku’s residence.
According to Omokri, the attack on Sunday night posed a threat to the former Vice President’s life, and he urged the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) to thoroughly investigate the incident.
Reacting to the development, the spokesperson for the Adamawa Police Command, Suleiman Nguroje, said two culprits had been arrested.
Nguroje stated that operatives of the command arrested the two suspected terrorists and handed them over to the military for further investigation.
The command spokesman disclosed that police handed the suspects over to the military because their attempted crime is terrorism in nature.
He said: “Yes, one Jibrilla Mohammed was arrested at the residence of the former vice president in Yola, and while interrogating him we got to arrest his accomplice.
“We have handed them over to the military because their attempted crime is terrorism in nature.”
