Following a fierce gun battle with armed bandits, the Kebbi State Police Command has successfully rescued six kidnapped victims unhurt in Danko/Wasagu Local Government Area of the state.

In a statement issued on Monday by the Police Public Relations Officer, CSP Nafiu Abubakar, the rescue operation was part of ongoing efforts to clamp down on banditry and other violent crimes in the state.

He said the incident occurred on Saturday, November 2, when about a dozen armed bandits invaded Ukuhu, Tungar Wazga, and Unguwar Chiroma villages, kidnapping ten residents.
