The wife of a Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) officer who was abducted by gunmen has been rescued by security operatives after days in captivity.

According to reports, the woman was kidnapped from her residence in the outskirts of Abuja last week, prompting a swift response from the police and other security agencies. Following a series of coordinated intelligence operations, the rescue team successfully tracked down the kidnappers’ hideout and freed the victim unhurt.

Sources confirmed that no ransom was paid for her release, while the police have intensified efforts to arrest the fleeing suspects believed to be part of a larger kidnapping network operating within the area.

Authorities have reassured the public of their commitment to tackling the growing menace of abductions across the country and ensuring the safety of all citizens.
