Policeman killed in Delta

A police sergeant has been reportedly abducted and killed in Delta last week Thursday.

The deceased policeman was abducted while going home from work on the ill-fated Thursday evening.

Police Public Relations Officer of the State Command, DSP. Bright Edafe said the police officer was abducted and killed after closing from work and was going home.

According to him, the victim was kidnap and killed at a location around Ughelli North Local Government Area of the state.

The deceased policeman identified as Sergeant Ifeanyi, was until his death, attached to the Eagle Net patrol team of the Ughelli Area Command.

“He was intercepted and kidnapped; later, we discovered his dead body. Manhunt for the assailants is on and we will see how we can get them as soon as possible,” he added.

However, detail of the cause of the deceased policeman is yet to be unravelled at the time of filing this report.
