Pondi visits constituents, receives votes of confidence

The Member Representing Burutu Federal constituency and Chairman, House Committee on South-South Development Commission, Rt. Hon Julius Pondi MHR, has concluded an orientation tour to his constituents in Ogulagha Kingdom on Monday.

The third term federal lawmaker on the 8th June 2025, has officially defected from the People Democratic Party (PDP) to the All progressive Congress (APC) on the floor of the National Assembly on the 6th May, 2025, had decided to tour his immediate communities and kingdom (Ogulagha) to intimate and orient his followers and constituents of the new political movement from PDP to the APC.

Again, Pondi and members of his team including Dr Shedrack Agediga, Chairman, Delta Bursary and scholarship Board and other prominent members on Sunday 8th June, were received by his home community leadership led by Mr Jeremiah Isayah (Chairman, Yokiri community) and his counterpart Mr Believe Anumu (Chairman, Sokebolou community) and people of Sokebolou/ Yokiri communities in Sokebolou Modern TownHall, where the federal lawmaker, Dr Shedrack Agediga and Rt Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori were applauded and a vote of confidence was moved and passed for their sterling leadership.

The trail of Rt.Hon. Julius Pondi further moved to Obotobo 1 Community 10 Am, Monday 9th June and they were massively received by the Chairman Mr Ebiware Owolo, his Exco, the entire community and its leadership.

Meantime, the Team also advanced to Obotobo 2 Community at about 12pm, same day, where the entourage was welcomed with praise singing and dance of community women. The Chairman Mr James Oyibo, Chiefs were full of praises, haven appreciated Rt.Hon Julius Pondi for projects already sited in the community, they also seized the medium to appeal for completion of their community TownHall, provision of Borehole water & Construction of internal roads.

Furthermore, to wrap up the tour, at about 3 pm on the same day, the Pondi’s team moved to Ogulagha Community TownHall, where Okuntu, Osain, Obuguru, Youbebe, Ogulagha and other adjoining communities had converged to graciously received and lavishly entertained the team. It was an electrifying gathering, in which the people unanimously supported the political decisions of Pondi, Dr Agediga and Governor Sheriff Oborevwori.

However, the exercise was reported to have been successful, full of applause and recounts of different developmental projects that had been attracted by the duo, Pondi & Agediga, not only to the Communities in Ogulagha kingdom but only across the 78 communities in Burutu LGA.

The general slogan of the orientation in every community visited was ‘Where Pondi Goes’… ‘We Follow’

They also unanimously passed a vote of confidence on Pondi, Dr Agediga and Oborevwori for their sterling leadership.
