Popular Niger Delta leader Chief Ari dies

Foremost Ijaw leader High Chief Dr J.G.B. Ari (JP), the Puwei of Gbaramatu Kingdom in the Warri South-West Local Government Area of Delta State died on Tuesday.

It was gathered that the prominent Ijaw Chief Ari died after a protracted illness and prompt medical interventions both at home and abroad.

He was born on 15th September 1939 and died at 11:50 pm Tuesday, April 4, 2023, at the age of 84 years.

He hailed from the Kokodiagbene community in Gbaramatu Kingdom in Delta state.

Meantime, his remains have been deposited at the morgue in Warri.
