Hon. Yusuf Gagdi on Tuesday disclosed that the president-elect, Bola Tinubu was not informed about the ongoing plot to impose Hon. Tajudeen Abbas and Hon. Benjamin Kalu as preferred speaker and deputy speaker of the 10th Assembly.

Gagdi asserted that all the aspirants for the position of the speaker who formed the G7 group are not against anyone but stand for justice and equity.

He made this known during a media chat in Abuja, that Bola Tinubu has promised to reward loyalty and commitment.

Gagdi said, “The president-elect doesn’t contradict promises, Bola Tinubu looks at what you bring to the table and rewards you.”

He said that the G7 are not against anyone. “We are not even against the president-elect, as far as we are concerned, we have not heard anything from him, whether he has zoned, or endorsed a particular candidate.”

However, Gagdi described the vice president, Kashim Shettima as a father. ” For the V. P, yes, he’s my father. I think I reached out to him, about my ambition. Before he made his comment, there was an appointment that I was going to meet with him and he didn’t tell me to step down.” he said.

He added that he met Kashim Shettima a political leader in the north to equally tell him his intention to contest for speaker.
