President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has left Nigeria for a 10-day working vacation in Europe, the Presidency confirmed. The trip, which began on Thursday, will see him spend time in both France and the United Kingdom before returning to Abuja.
According to a statement from the Presidential Villa, the leave is part of the President’s annual schedule and will allow him to take a short break while also engaging in consultations with key partners abroad. Government officials noted that Vice President Kashim Shettima will continue to oversee state matters in his absence.
This marks Tinubu’s second official leave since assuming office in May 2023. While on vacation, he is expected to hold strategic meetings with investors and policymakers aimed at strengthening Nigeria’s economic recovery efforts.
