President Tinubu Makes First Appearance In Office

By Sola Omoniyi, Lagos
Following the May 29 presidential inauguration, the number one citizen of Nigeria, President Bola Tinubu made his first appearance in office on Tuesday, May 30.
Mr President was welcomed by the vice President, Kashim Shettima and the Speaker House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila.
Others who welcomed the president to his office include Tijani Umar, Permanent Secretary, State House, Mr Goodwin Emefiele, the Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria, James Faleke, a member of the House of Representative, Mr Kyari, the GCEO of Nigeria National Petroleum Company Limited, and other protocol officers.
Mr president wasted no time as he went to his office straight with CBN Governor, Emefiele, Speaker Gbajabiamila, James Faleke and others.
As of the time of this report, the reason for the urgent meeting is yet to be known between Mr president and the CBN Governor, including the GCEO of NNPC.
However, the meeting may be linked to the naira redesign and the current fuel scarcity and increase in pump price.
Recall that Congress News had earlier reported about the increase in pump price across the country barely 24 hours after the new administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
